Our Team

Nicole began her career in crisis communications before transitioning into the public health and biotech space. She was on the team that took biotechnology company VaxGen public. She was appointed by Dr. Anthony Fauci to a National Institutes of Health Steering Committee for her expertise in communicating complex science in a clear and ethical manner. She served as the Director of Communications for The Economist. She then began work for the Obama Campaign and later the White House, producing press events for President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and Vice President Joe Biden; and she continues her work with the Obamas to this day. Nicole has worked with nearly every major media outlet in countries around the globe. She has a BA in Political Economy from UC Berkeley and her MBA from New York University, where she received a fellowship from the Department of Economics.

Why did you join the LA Fire Justice team?
I watched in horror as the fires of January 7th took the homes of my sister-in -law, of my best friend, of others I’ve known for years. It brings me great pride to be able to use my skills and expertise to help rebuild the community.
