What this deadline means

In California, a statute of limitations sets the maximum amount of time you have to file a lawsuit after an injury or event occurs.

In the case of the Eaton Fire, the Statutes of Limitation ends on January 7, 2027. After that date, victims of the fire are no longer able to join the lawsuit against Edison. Don’t wait any longer to join us. There are less than 90 days before the deadline.

“I’m not sure I qualify.”
If your residence or business was damaged or destroyed by the Eaton Fire, or you were injured fleeing the fire, you will likely qualify. If your property suffered smoke/soot/ash damage, you might qualify. The free case review will confirm.
“What about Edison’s compensation program?”
Edison's program may offer you compensation, but is designed solely by Edison. Compared to what you are owed under California law, the Edison program will offer substantially less. Call us to learn more about what the program might offer you and get a free case assessment.
“I already filed an insurance claim”
That’s fine. An insurance claim and a legal claim against Edison are separate. Filing an insurance claim does not impact your ability to seek justice from Edison. We file a lawsuit for you to recover your uninsured loss.
