Marlyn Bañuelos is a Case Management Analyst at LA Fire Justice and a proud Altadena native. She helps clients stay informed and supported throughout their cases by keeping details organized and making sure communication is clear and timely.
Marlyn is bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows her to connect with a wider range of clients and make the process easier for families who prefer to communicate in Spanish. She also brings experience in tax preparation, where she has guided people through complex situations with patience and accuracy.
She studied Media Studies and Journalism at UC Berkeley and has always been passionate about work that combines organization, problem-solving, and helping others.
Why did you join the LA Fire Justice team?
I joined LA Fire Justice because I wanted to be part of a team dedicated to standing up for those who were impacted by the Eaton Fire. I’m proud to join a mission that prioritizes justice and community recovery.
What is your favorite thing to do in LA?
I love exploring LA’s diverse neighborhoods, from discovering new coffee shops, enjoying live music, or taking my dog on long walks through the trails in the foothills. LA’s mix of culture, food, and community events always inspires me.
