Karla has over 10 years of experience in personal injury law, working across pre-litigation, intake, and case management. She received her BA in Criminology with a minor in Psychology, which shaped her detail-oriented approach and understanding of how people handle stressful situations.
She has supported clients, medical providers, and legal teams by helping people navigate the complexities of cases, coordinating workflows, and making sure every step is clear, manageable, and handled thoughtfully.
Why did you join the LA Fire Justice team?
I joined LAFJ because I wanted to be part of something that genuinely helps people and makes a tangible difference in the community. LAFJ’s mission to advocate for clients and support them through incredibly challenging situations resonates deeply with me.
I live locally and have seen firsthand the devastation that fires can cause, which makes this work feel especially meaningful. Being able to guide clients through complex systems, provide clear support, and help them access the resources they need is incredibly rewarding. Contributing to a team dedicated to fairness and positive impact is what makes this work truly fulfilling.
What is your favorite thing to do in LA?
I love exploring LA and trying new eateries and cafés, checking out different city events, and discovering new pockets of the city. I also enjoy riding, which gives me space to unwind.
